Letterpress Depot, Inc (aka Englewood Depot) is a non-profit organization with tax-exempt status as provided by the Internal Revenue Code under section 501(c)(3).

Compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation

The General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") is a European Regulation concerning the use and processing of personal information. We are committed to processing your information in compliance with the GDPR upon its effectiveness on May 25, 2018. We will use reasonable efforts to securely process all personal information in line with the rights specified under the GDPR.  

What Personal Information We Collect & How We Collect It

You can always visit our website without submitting any personal information to us. We only gather information there when you send us a comment, join the Depot, sign up for a workshop or make a purchase. We add these names and emails and information about where we met you and your expressed book arts interests to our mailing list, but never share them outside of the Letterpress Depot. We also ask people who engage with us at various fairs and events to sign up for our mailing list.  Again, that information is only used by the Depot for the purpose of sending email updates.

When you interact with the Letterpress Depot on any of our social media – Facebook, Twitter or Instagram -  we may follow you and encourage you to follow us.

The website or social media may be linked to other sites that are not maintained by Letterpress Depot, including, but not limited to, events or opportunities being offered by other book arts organizations. These third-party Websites are subject to their own separate terms and conditions and privacy policies and are not covered by this Privacy Policy and are not the responsibility or liability of Letterpress Depot.  

How We Use Your Personal Information

We use your personal information to email updates about the Depot, and to communicate with you about current projects, workshops, fundraising efforts and volunteer opportunities. If you donate to the Depot, we keep keeping accounting records as required by law and so that you can get credit for your contribution. If you have concerns about any of these purposes, or how we communicate with you, please contact us at englewooddepot@gmail.com. We will always respect a request by you to stop communication.

When We Share Your Personal Information

We do not, under any circumstances, share, rent or sell your personal information to any outside third party. We promise to keep your personal information private and confidential.

If you purchase something from our site, then you are giving information to Stripe (see Stripe’s privacy policy); if you purchase something at an event, then you are giving information to Square (see Square’s privacy policy).  There may be other occasions when Pay Pal is used (see PayPal’s privacy policy). All information collected by these third-party payment services for purposes of processing your payments is not available to us.

How Your Information is Stored and Secured

Our website is run by Squarespace which says it “maintains administrative, technical and physical safeguards that are intended to appropriately protect against accidental or unlawful destruction, accidental loss, unauthorized alteration, unauthorized disclosure or access, misuse and any other unlawful form of processing of, the personal information in our possession. We employ security measures such as using firewalls to protect against intruders, building redundancies throughout our network.  As for the emails we gather from end users, we keep them on computers protected by strong antivirus programs and firewalls.

How Long We Keep Your Personal Information

We hope for our relationship with our community to be long-term. This means that we will maintain a record for you until such time as you tell us that you no longer wish us to keep in touch, or that you change your contact information.  

How to Remove Your Information

At your request, we will remove you from our mailing list. Click unsubscribe at the bottom of the email or separately email your request to englewooddepot@gmail.com

What happens when we update this Privacy policy?

Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the Services. Your use of the Services following these changes means that you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
